Stephanie has been a longtime member of the Poetic Pilgrimage ongoing class led by Prartho Sereno, Marin County 2017 poet laureate. She has also studied with Judyth Hill and Kim Stafford; and was one of a select group of poets chosen for a 1980 UC Berkeley extension course titled ‘Poems in Progress: A Workshop with Six American Poets’ taught by Alan Soldofsky with guest teachers Margaret Atwood, Robert Bly, Gary Snyder, and Philip Levine.
